Fine Art

Manchester School of Art

Fine Art

The Fine Art programme encourages students to develop their own ideas, methods, and individual concerns with the opportunity to investigate universal practices and approaches within the contemporary Fine Art landscape.

Fine Art undergraduates have the opportunity to develop an understanding of working within two broad specialist areas – Painting/Print Media or Sculpture/Time Based Art.

Students are encouraged to fully question their work through a personal work programme that fosters an imaginative and creative insight into the possibilities of art making for the 21st Century, yet is critically informed through a study of historical and contemporary issues in the visual arts.
