The Forest of Signs is a personal narrative which takes the viewer on a journey of discovery through a body of work which is informed by a selection of rudimentary critical theory. The journey exists in two related parts. The first is a personal journey through a series of ideas and texts which are visualised as an interactive scrolling sketch book of images, quotes and sounds. Beneath this lies a parallel layer of text which the viewer can access at any stage, the second part of the journey is a series of smaller, self contained narratives which are presented as animated sequences. These are accessed at the end of each stage in the scrolling sketch book. The animations are an attempt to put some the ideas in the scrolling text into practice in some way. | ||
