My imagination has been captured by the eerie aspect of soulless dolls mimicking life. The Inspiration for my work is a fascination with dolls, or doll like toys, interwoven with narrative in visual portrayal, my memories and my nightmares. I work with ‘rejected’ and ‘discarded’ objects, dolls, toys and cloth which have their own memory, I do not consider my work to belong to textile, craft, 3D, or Fine Art rather it simply is work that exists because I exist and I am telling the Story. http://uk.geocities.com/carys_hughes |
