Visual Resources Centre
The Visual Resources Centre provides a range of image-related support services to students and academic staff, as well as offering associated products and services to external clients. The Centre, which was previously known as the Slide Library, has been facilitating the use of visual images for learning, teaching and research in art and design for over 40 years.
One of the Centre's key roles is to provide access to the following image collections, which it manages and develops in conjunction with academic programmes and the research interests of staff.
- Art and Design Slide Collection
- Design Council Slide Collection
- Lantern Slide Collection
- Video Collection
The collections are available to students and staff during the Centre's normal opening hours, and members of the Visual Resources team are always happy to help users identify and locate the materials they require. Introductory/induction sessions can be arranged, and users are encouraged to explore the many different ways in which the collections can be exploited as resources for learning, teaching and research.
