My work is inspired by natural, organic forms.
Colour and pattern is important but is achieved in a non traditional manner
to produce contemporary installations.

Painting and drawing is an important
aspect of my work, I like to convey the energy found in primary sources.
I can then reflect this energy through my personal use of bright colours.
I use fabric in a sculptural way to explore structure and relief.
Contrast has been developed through the use of wood,
adding a modern slant to traditional fabric manipulation.

All my designs are purely instinctive and ideas are allowed
to develop rather than being confined through meticulous planning.
I am interested in how the change of environment can affect the way
in which work is viewed, in particular outdoor venues
