My work is textile based and invariably done by hand. I come from an embroidery background with a strong interest in the history and tradition of textiles particularly quilt making and folk art.
Current concerns in my work relate, as ever, to the little things in life that invariably make up the bigger picture. As a keen allotment holder for a number of years, the increasing domination of the supermarkets is prominent in my thinking, like wise the now/ throwaway culture, where everything is disposable.
