In stitch I can express something of how I perceive the world.
Themes recur and are replayed, the human condition, narrative and mythology. I am to seeking to acquire a vocabulary of mark making, using a sewing machine and a continuous line of thread. The pieces are conversations between colour and line and light, dialogues between figures and spaces.
At MMU I have found rich new wonderful seams to explore, of machines and dialogues with people.
