Making has always been important to me, it is not just pleasure but something more all consuming.
I look forward to any opportunity to make, be it making a film, or an exhibition or a garden gate, but making pots is the act of making that has most continuity in my life. My discovery of the potters wheel at Blackburn School of Art in the sixties not only started me on the road to shaping pots but has shaped my life ever since.
