Metal Workshops

The metal workshops are situated on the ground floor of the Chatham building. This area contains full jewellery making facilities including enamelling and lost wax casting; traditional blacksmithing and forging equipment; a machine shop with milling machines, lathes etc; a fabrication area which houses facilities for rolling, cutting, punching and folding; and a welding shop with arc, gas, mig and tig welding equipment.

Fabrication facility for cutting, bending and forming metal. Welding equipment available.

Small consumable items.

Workshop for brazing, forging, casting and other fabrication techniques, including jewellery-making facilities.

Fly press, polishing, bending, etc.

Engineering type facility for precision work. Bar/sheet storage and guillotine.
