Dr Tongyu Zhou  

Tongyu Zhou is a Research Associate on the China Project, a project set up by MIRIAD to extend its research and practice activities in Art and Design to the Far East, thereby establishing a base for MMU staff and students to exercise their research and practice internationally.
Tongyu’s research interest lies in the interaction between contemporary Chinese culture and other cultures. Her recent PhD study used contemporary Chinese printmaking as an empirical case to identify the origins of this cultural complex and gave diagrammatic analyses to its influences. Now, she is looking into educational exchange and dissemination between Britain and China.
Tongyu is also practicing in fine arts, such as printmaking, calligraphy, photography and other digital media.
