Liz Wheeldon-Wyatt is a Senior Lecturer in BA (Hons) Graphic Design
Liz Wheeldon-Wyatt is a Senior Lecturer for the Graphic Design programme at the Manchester School of Art, Manchester Metropolitan University.
A former graduate herself, Liz has spent over 20 years in industry practising as a Graphic Designer. Ten years spent in London and ten in the USA. She has been the lucky recipient of a number of awards ranging from The Addy’s both regionally and nationally, Philadelphia Gold’s, Clio Awards, USA and D&AD Awards in the UK.
With her extensive background working in industry, Liz has been involved in a variety of research projects, more recently ‘Stepping Out’ funded by The Design Skills Alliance, 2010 which explored the connectiveness of the Design industry and education. Another ongoing research project she is involved in is PAIRINGS, a collaboration between an artist and designer. Here they use pattern, design and form to explore the personalities created by digitally rendered architecture, interiors and typography transposed onto a ceramist's collection.
Liz is also a member of The D&AD North Committee and is actively involved in promoting and organising events and President Lectures for agencies and students around the Northwest.
