Clinton Cahill has been a lecturer in art and design since 1982, teaching in Further and Higher Education sectors, on a range of courses in institutions in the Northwest region and abroad. His first degree is in Fine Art and he holds an MA the History of Art and Design. In addition to teaching he maintains a personal practice and is also undertaking PhD research. He has an interest in the relationship between image, text and illustration and the phenomenology of image, particularly in relation to drawing. His PhD research is an investigation of visuality in James Joyce’s ‘Finnegans Wake’through processes of visual adaptation. A full time Senior Lecturer in the School of Design, Clinton is a group tutor for third year BA (Hons) Design and Art Direction students and subject route tutor for MA Design and Art Direction.

• Currently supervising 3 PhD candidates
