In my practice I strive to create a sensation in the viewer similar to what I imagine people experienced in pre-cinema days, when confronted with devices such as the zoetrope or magic lantern. The process of trying to find a satisfactory harmony between the visceral and the intellectual has led me to an investigation into the nature of perception.
