All student printing at the Manchester School of Art is controlled through the MMU Print system.

A4 / A3 Printing

A4 and A3 printing is provided by the MMU Print system. All MMU PCs, and Macs in the Chatham Mac Suites, have the following two printers installed:

• MMUPrint-Mono
• MMUPrint-Colour

Jobs sent to these printers can be printed out at any available Multi-Function Device (MFD) in the University.

MFDs open to students are available at 4 locations within the Manchester School of Art:

• Chatham 103 (IT Services Print Room – 3 devices)
• Chatham 305a (Mac Suite – 2 devices)
• Cavendish 103 (1 device)
• John Dalton West (4 devices, various locations)

All the above devices are capable of mono and colour printing, on A4 or A3 paper, as well as scanning and photocopying.

Large Format Printing

At the Manchester School of Art you have the facility to print out larger sized documents and images on our specialist Large Format Printers (LFP).

Large Format Printing is a self-service system and requires a bit of thought before printing to avoid unnecessary and costly mistakes.

The LFPs are located in 2 different buildings. To access these printers you need to be logged into an MMU PC in the locations specified below.

Specialist Printing

Sometimes you might need to print something that requires special paper types, exceptionally high quality or different finishes. The following services can provide for most of these requirements and more.

IT Print Services

Located in the John Dalton West building, IT Print Services can provide a range of specialist printing, including printing onto a wide range of paper types. More information.

Textile Digital Printing

The textile digital printing suite situated in the Cavendish building enables scanned original art work and digitally created images to be printed directly onto a range of fabrics. More information.

A4/A3 Colour Inkjet Printing

The "A4 & More" Store on the Ground Floor Chatham has some inkjet printers available. Please contact the store for more information.

Tracing Paper A0 B/W Photocopier

For students wishing to produce images on tracing paper, using toner based printing, an A0 photocopier is available on the Chatham Ground Floor. Please enquire at the "A4 & More" Store.
