Design LAB

Thinking of a postgraduate course in Design? Manchester Design LAB offers an MA in Design with pathways in both design and contemporary craft practice.

Location

The Manchester Design LAB is located at the heart of Manchester School of Art, is partnered with Manchester School of Architecture and has direct links to the City's design industry.

Projects

Students work closely with researchers and professionals on Live Projects that connect with the region's major public organisations and companies, small design studios, agencies and individual practitioners such as Manchester City Galleries, Corridor 8, Creative Lynx, Media City, Design Initiative, and Arts for Health.

Study

The MA programme is based around regular group meetings, together with tutorials, seminars, technical workshops and talks from project sponsors and visiting speakers. Studio practice is supported by a programme of theory and professional development.
