Foundation Degree (FdA)

The Faculty of Art and Design validates a Foundation Degree that is taught at our partner college, The Manchester College. Offering an employment-driven design education with strong links to Manchester's thriving design industry, the course provides excellent opportunities to explore the creative potential offered by combining Multimedia, Graphic Design, Jewellery and Applied Arts and Moving Image. The course allows flexibility to develop a personal programme of industry relevant study leading on graduation, either to employment in the creative industries or entry to the final year of an honours degree at Manchester Metropolitan University, or other Universities.

The course is available in full time and part time modes and has pathways in the following areas:
